伊勢神宮御山杉 大貴珠ISEJINGU MIYAMASUGI OMUCHINOTAMA

Sourced from Japan’s holiest sanctuary—the Naiku of Ise Grand Shrine—this rare, sacred wood carries a thousand years of divine blessings.
This wood comes from a giant cedar tree that stood within the grounds of the Naiku (the Main Shrine), where the “Yata no Kagami”—one of the Three Sacred Treasures—is enshrined. It is a portion of the giant tree that was toppled by Typhoon No. 18 in 2009.
Ise Grand Shrine consists of the Naiku, which enshrines the Great Ancestral Deity “Amaterasu Ōmikami,” and the Geku, which enshrines “Toyouke Ōmikami,” the guardian deity of food, clothing, and shelter. Its official name is simply “Jingu,” and it comprises a total of 125 shrines, led by the Naiku and Geku.
Legend has it that approximately 2,000 years ago, “Princess Yamatohime,” who had been traveling throughout the land in search of a place for Amaterasu Omikami to reside, established the Inner Shrine on the banks of the Isuzu River in accordance with a divine revelation from Amaterasu Omikami—and this marks the origin of Ise Grand Shrine. The cedar trees that grow and thrive in this “Forest of the Grand Shrine,” regarded as sacred ground, are known as “Jingu Cedar.”

Since felling trees within the Jingu Forest is strictly prohibited, only in extremely rare cases—such as when a sacred tree within the grounds of Ise Grand Shrine that is over 300 years old has been toppled by a storm—is it referred to as “Oyama Cedar,” a term that has very rarely found its way into popular usage.
As for the “Muchi” in “Ōmuchi-no-Tama,” it is said to be an honorific title representing the “noble deity,” thus conferring the meaning of “a treasure pearl from an exceedingly noble deity.”

Symbolic Meaning:
Gratitude, great good fortune, attracting blessings and prosperity, divine protection.
