Legend has it that the deities “Ōana-no-Mikoto (Ōkuninushi-no-Kami)” and “Sōhikona-no-Mikoto” spent an entire night constructing the “Stone Hall,” a mysterious and spiritually charged power spot. This massive rock, weighing 450 metric tons, still holds many unsolved mysteries to this day, and this Ryuzan Stone is quarried from the same geological formation as that giant rock, which is hailed as one of Japan’s Three Wonders.
Takasago is also known as a “place for finding love,” and it is said that Zeami, a master of the traditional Noh theater, drew inspiration from the pine trees of this area when creating his masterpiece *Takasago*. Ryuzan Stone comes in various hues, including blue, yellow, and red, with the red variety being the most prized.
