As wonderful as it is, you still have to face the realities of cat ownership—like working hard to earn money for wet food, dry food, and cat litter, not to mention keeping your home tidy and cleaning the litter box.
　　Among these, “feces” is the biggest issue affecting the smell in the home. Scooping the litter box constantly would be ideal, but unfortunately, this isn’t feasible for working people. “Cleaning it once a day” is already pretty great. Owners with deep pockets and spacious homes can opt for an automatic litter box cleaner, but generally, most people still handle the cleanup themselves. Whenever it’s time to scoop up after your adorable kitty, it suddenly becomes a sweet burden. The air is filled with dust and an unpleasant odor, and crouching down, shaking off the litter, and holding your breath are all part of the routine. Your inner monologue: “Just get this over with so I can rest…” This is our struggle, and we’re sure it’s how everyone feels!

We gathered extensive feedback and researched ways to address these pain points, ultimately redesigning a quick-sifting tool for cat owners—the “Master’s Cat Litter Scoop.” This design improves upon the inconveniences of standard litter scoops, such as the inability to scoop efficiently and quickly, the constant shaking required to sift out litter, and the lack of ergonomic comfort.
Our solution: The sifting holes are designed with a ridge-like pattern, arranged in straight, ribbed rows. This guides unclumped litter through the holes quickly, leaving the clumps behind in the scoop with almost no shaking required. With the quick-sifting solution in place, optimizing the design was another key need for cat owners. The wide, curved scoop surface allows for smoother maneuvering in the litter box. Additionally, to address the issues of flimsy, scratchy plastic handles, we’ve replaced them with wooden handles that provide a warm, comfortable grip—making it much more enjoyable for owners to scoop their cats’ litter.
